Project:
Nabor is a community app that is aimed to connect the neighborhood for getting household work done and socially connect over community events. It is to be released in Jan’17. I was responsible to oversee the UI/UX development for the entire app working closely with the developer.
Role: UI/UX Designer, Iconography
Type of Project: UI/UX Design
Timeline: 1 Month
Methods Used: Research, Design Studio, Sketches (Pen & Paper)
User Flow
User flow is what indicates the path a user follows, which is needed to be user friendly. I started this project by mapping out the user flow. Since this app will have multiple types of user, each with options of multiple function, I laid out 2 different flows.
Flow 1: User wants to hire someone or get hired
Flow 2: User wants to organize an event or attend an event nearby
Iconography
The target audience for this app is a broad group of people of different age groups and interests. I created a unique family of icons that were clean yet intuitive in nature and easy to guide navigation.
Color Palette
I clearly wanted to distinguish between the two work and play modes so I chose complimentary colors that were contemporary, soothing yet bold.
